Table Saw Accident Stories and Statistics

The statistics of saw accidents...

how and why they happen.

Thank you from the Webmaster

A few years back I had an accident using my table saw. While I was recuperating I started this website. One of the first pictures I posted was my stitched up hand. Though I continue to enjoy working with wood, I have never touched my table saw again. My wife rolled it into the corner and there it sits, covered in dust.... as a reminder to me. I want to offer my thanks to each and every one of you who have contributed your story to this website. Some of the accidents are because of human error and others are just random things that happen when all the proper safety mechanisms are in use. Reading your stories reminds me regularly of that day many years ago when I ruined my hand. I am as sorry for you as I am for my own injury. Most importantly, your input has helped keep me (and I am sure many others) safe.

Thank you.

Accident Descriptions:

The large majority of accidents happen to people who are trying their best to be careful. A small distraction or an unexpected kickback happens and the accident occurs. These accident descriptions are here to help you learn.
